East meets west in these wicked Chinese Lantern Pumpkin hybrids. Hand-dipped by artist Shane Bradford in various layers of coloured emulsions, the faces are made solely from lines created by dipping, that is why each one is different and has its own cheeky expression. Seeming perhaps like ghoulish entrails, the stalactite paint appendage reminds us of the repeat technique as well as the overlap of global, contemporary and traditional culture. Happy halloween.
